The Home in WinterThe Teton Valley is extraordinary in its scenic beauty and in its offerings to nature enthusiasts. The rolling hills with their aspen groves, the majestic Grand Tetons and the Big Hole mountains that surround the entire valley are visited by many who come to ski, hike, bike, climb, camp, hunt, fish or simply relax and enjoy the great outdoors. It is no surprise that extraordinary dwellings that reflect the beauty and majesty of the natural surroundings have been created to host valley guests.

'Teton Sanctuary' is one such dwelling. Often described as one of the most beautiful homes in Teton Valley, Teton Sanctuary is a first class lodge-like home that might better be depicted by the word manor. Nestled thoughtfully on thirteen acres, Teton Sanctuary Log Accentsdelivers uncompromised views of the best the Tetons have to offer. Whether you sight elk, wolves, bear, moose, coyotes, or eagles from the cathedral windows of the main room, or simply take in the exhilarating alpine glow on the peaks of the Tetons, your soul will be moved.

Soul infuses this 6,000 sqare foot home and all its amenities. The main floor hosts the grand room with a large wood fireplace, piano, chess board and comfortable leather sofas, all beneath an exquisitly crafted log canopy. In the dining area is a wonderful, huge table fit for feasts. Officially, extended to its full length, ten high back leather chairs cabitz comfortably around the walnut-hued wooden surface. Many more have squeezed between the extravagantly spaced dinner guests to share riotously good meals and comraderie. Additionally, the kitchen nook seats eight and is where the kids with their hat hair and rosy cheeks delight in revisiting the day's events. The kitchen is a chef's dream come true with its state of the art six burner Wolf range, convection ovens, granite countertops and well stocked pantry.

Hopefully, you won't be chored with dishes and can challenge a young upshot to a game of pool, the cracking of your mighty break impressing the other lucky dish dodgers who sneak past you to dip in the six person hot tub on the deck. They are likely to report, "My word! I've never seen so many stars."

Separated onto three floors, this home also allows for quiet corners if you need to get away from the festivities for a short time. You may decide to take in a movie in the TV/family room in the daylight basement, or find solitude in the loft sitting area which overlooks the grand room. Visit the library and pick out a book. Curl up with your hot chocolate and indulge. Finally, retire to one of six bedrooms, all with their unique charm and comortable beds.

The master bedroom is quite simply a masterpiece in and of itself. Switch on the gas fireplace, put on some romantic music, run water for the jetted tub and enjoy your libation while watching snow effortlessy subdue the wild sage meadow and distant aspen thickets.

The daylight basement on the lower floor has a separate kitchen, a bedroom with a king log bed, a second with a full and a crib, a full bathroom, and a large den with gas fireplace, flat screen TV, tread mill, and a pull out couch – and a wine cellar (sorry, that room is locked).

MooseThe upper level has access to a sleeping loft above the master bedroom with a full log bed – the library with the best pull out air bed ever – two bedrooms, one with a full, and one with a single – and a full bath.
